Dandy Man was a model of consistancey racing from 2-6 years. He became a multiple Group and Listed winner winning the Palace House Stakes Group three, the Woodlands Stakes Listed ,the Danehill Dancer Tipperary Stakes Listed and the King Of Beers Stakes Listed. he was second in the Group one Kings Stand Stakes and placed in the Nunthorphe Stakes, King George Stakes and Dubai World Trophy. He became a top class sprinter.
Dandy Man was one of many other top class horses from champion sprinter Mozart's only foal crop, he was out of Group three Angelsey and Molecomb stakes winnner Lady Alexander herself a daughter of Night Shift. Lady Alexander is the dam of five winners including Dandy Man, Lady Shanghai, Elegant Way, Good Authority, Dandy Man remains her only blacktype winner to date she has a yearling filly by fellow sprint sensation Star Spangled Banner.
Dandy Man's 2nd dam Sandhurst Goddess won a Listed race at three and four and was also Group placed she is the grand dam of Group three placed fillies Without A Trace and Many Colours. his 3rd dam Paradise Bird is the dam of Austrian champion three year old Amadhla as well as Listed winner Cover Girl, who is the dam of multiple Group placed Mister Mannan and Shermeen both are by Desert Style. His 4th dam Fred Darling is the grand dam of useful sprinter Malhub, this is from the immediate family of Group three winner Yellow Rosebud.
Dandy Man currently stands at Ballyhane Stud at a fee of E4,000, he is a beautiful athletic horse and passed those traits on to his yearlings who were in big demand in 2012. his highest priced yearling was a colt now named Android who cost £75,000 this was followed by prices such as £57,000, £55,000 £52,000, £50,000 etc with the majority of his yearlings with all the top trainers.
It is not surprising to see Dandy Man also sire a lot of juvenile's he himself was very useful at two and he joins Amadeus Wolf another son of Mozart who also was a good two year old sire. Dandy Man currently has three winners and there will be plenty more winners from him as the season progresses Dandy Man progeny should also progress with age as when there sire became a top sprinter from three onwards. Dandy Man looks sure to go close in the Title for Freshman sire 2013.
