National Hunt Sires: Gold Well

The unraced Gold Well moved to Coolmore's jumps roster in 2012 after standing at Arctic Tack Stud. Gold Well's first crop contained exciting horses such as Joxer, Holywell,John's Spirit, Mr Watson and Legacy Gold. The outstanding results from his first runners both on the track, at point to points and in sales ring prompted Coolmore to purchase him in December 2011.

Gold Well is not only by Sadler's Wells the proven sire of sires, he is out of Floripedes making him a brother to outstanding sire Montjeu. Montjeu needs no introduction, already well known as one of the best flat sires. Montjeu has got equally high class horses over jumps most notably Noble Prince and the outstanding sixteen times Grade one winning hurdler Hurricane Fly.

Gold Well's store horses have sold for £250,000, €200,000. His bumper winning daughter Legacy Gold lit up the Brightwells sale at Cheltenham this year when selling for £210,000. Gold Well is extremely great value for commercial breeders at €5,000 to access his impeccable pedigree and Gold Well has proved with his early crop that he can get top quality horses.

Coolmore already have exciting sire son of Sadler's Wells in Milan sire of grade one winning hurdlers Jezki and the ill-fated Darlan. Gold Well looks sure to follow up in that success. A horse of impeccable good looks his early success has hinted that he should be a major sire of top quality jumps horses in the future.
